2017 City of Melbourne Titles at Go-Kart Club of Victoria

THERE IS A STORM COMING!!!
When the sport of Karting takes over Melbourne for the 33rd running of the City of Melbourne Titles 2017 race meeting at the Go-Kart Club of Victoria (1 Cook St / Todd Road, Port Melbourne) on the 12th and 13th of August.

Last years meeting was a huge event with over 250 drivers competing across the weekend making it one of the biggest races that was held in Victoria last year. This looks set to continue in 2017 with the meeting being a lead-in event to Round 5 (the final) of the 2017 Australian Kart Championship 3 weekends later.

CLASSES TO COMPETE
Cadet 9, Cadet 12, KA4 Junior Light, KA4 Junior Heavy, KA3 Junior, KA3 Senior Light, KA3 Senior Medium, KA3 Senior Masters (class will be consolidated with KA3 Senior Medium but will be awarded separate trophies), Tag 125 Light, Tag 125 Heavy, Tag 125 Masters Tag Restricted Masters (class will be consolidated with Tag 125 Masters but will be awarded separate Trophies), Tag Restricted Light, Tag Restricted Medium, Tag Restricted Heavy.

Closing Date for Entries is 12pm (MIDNIGHT) Wednesday 9th August 2017

METHOD OF RACING
Timed warm up / Qualifying – One 8 minute session 1st, 2nd & 3rd Heats – 8 Laps each 4th Heat – 12 Laps Final – 16 laps

Saturday 12th August 2017 6.30am – Gates Open , Pit Allocation 6.30-7.30am – Confirmation of Entry and Distribution of Engine Seals , Chassis Tags 7.45am – Drivers Briefing 8.00am – Timed warm up/qualifying session – All Classes – one 8 minute Session 10.30am* – Racing – Heats all Classes 5.00pm – End of Day
Sunday 13th August 2017 6.30am – Gates Open 8.30am – Racing – Heats – All Classes 11.30am* – Racing – Finals 4.40pm* – End of Race Meeting * Approximate times only

PRIZES
Will be awarded in accordance with the provisions of Competitions Rules, Chapter 5 Rule 4 r). Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place for each Class on the final day of the Meeting

Spectators are welcome to the Go-Kart Club of Victoria (the track is on the left as you get off the West Gate Bridge city bound) to watch the racing for what will be one of the biggest and most exciting sporting spectacles happening in Melbourne that weekend!
