COME AND TRY KARTING!!!

In conjunction with our July club-day, Ballarat kart club would like to invite anyone interested in karting to come along and have a go at our come and try karts. We now have 2x club karts available, our senior 100J kart will accommodate (12yo and over) and our cadet 80 (6-12-year-old). Remember, the come and try kart is reserved for those genuinely interested in karting that have not had the opportunity to drive on a full-size circuit. The cost is $30 covering administration and consumables. If you are interested, please get in-touch via our Facebook page, with height, weight and age such that we can determine kart suitability.

Good news - we are working on some Cadet (Under 12) and Junior (Under 15) Come and Try karts thanks to Golden Plains Shire Council support// GRANTS GALORE // Last week, Council approved 32 grants to local community groups and organisations as part of our Community Grants Program. These groups will share in $110,873 of funds, that will allow the recipients to complete projects worth $267,012 right across the Shire. This year marks the 24th year of the Community Grants Program, which provides funding to local groups to help support meaningful community projects that benefit the Golden Plains community. Over the next month, we'll profile each successful community group and their project, so stayed tuned! To see the full list, and to find out more about the program, visit https://bit.ly/2XNo5jE ... We are looking forward to a good turnout this Sunday.

16 have pre-entered, so that means we are doubling the JB Hifi voucher on offer to $100.
Any karter racing on the day or volunteers/officials involved are eligible to win*

More are always welcome, particularly if there are any more Cadet 9s in the area

About The Ballarat Kart Club

Ballarat Kart Club – Haddon Park Raceway

Long established Ballarat Kart Club has been racing at the current site since the 1960s.

The track is located at Haddon, approximately 15km west of Ballarat.

From central Ballarat, follow Latrobe St out along Carngham Rd. Turn left into Sago Hill Rd and at the Haddon roundabout take the Racecourse Rd exit. The Track is located about 300m further along.

In addition to monthly club race days, two open race meetings are held annually by the club.

These are named The Begonia City Titles and the Mort Page Memorial, in honour of the many years of service given to the club by the late Mr. Mort Page. Nowadays these events are often incorporated into rounds of the popular Victorian Country Series.

In December 2008 Ballarat Kart Club hosted the VKA Victorian Closed Kart Titles which was a very successful event.

The track is available for use by members from 9am – 6pm daily, except Tuesdays when the track is closed.
