Plenty of old beauties took to the track today.

The weather wasn't too kind, but there was a brief period of sunshine and cold air that made for some roaring engines.

We've had a few people asking, and we may have accidentally caused some confusion, so to clarify:

Saturday 18 August
Track is closed for private vintage kart practice

Sunday 26 August will be another unofficial "test and tune/fun" day
This will only be for license holders/members - we have not organised a bring a mate permit this time
Kick off from 10ish

Sunday 30 September WILL go ahead as a club day - rain, hail or shine.
We will also organise a Bring a Mate permit if you have anyone interested.
The AGM will be held that morning.

Good luck to all our members having a crack at Todd Road on the weekend

Lest us know how you go!311 entries have been accepted for this weekends 34th running of the 2018 City of Melbourne Titles at the Go-Kart Club of Victoria.

Spectators are welcome to the Go-Kart Club of Victoria (1 Cook Street, Port Melbourne, the club is on the left as you get off the West Gate Bridge city bound) to watch the racing for what will be one of the most exciting sporting spectacles happening in Melbourne this weekend!

Come down to the club and watch current and future racing champions and witness the skill, speed and atmosphere of a karting event as the drivers and their teams push themselves and their racing machines to the limit.

Karting Victoria and the Go-Kart Club of Victoria looks forward to seeing everyone at the meeting for a great weekend of racing!

We're pretty happy we chose yesterday for our fun day instead of today

While fanging in the wet today would still have been fun, it was a glorious solitary day of sunshine in the middle of winter yesterday.

Mitch Arrow was the winner of the box of chocolates on the day - coming within 0.01 of his nominated lap time. (Dominic Kucina a close second coming within 0.08 of his time)

It was great to meet some new people and we hope to see you again at our next club day.

Thanks for the day guys. I had a ball and can't wait to get some more seat time

Thanks for the fantastic laid back day. It was great getting to know other members of the club as well as the practice and advise that was passed on to the karters

About The Ballarat Kart Club

Ballarat Kart Club – Haddon Park Raceway

Long established Ballarat Kart Club has been racing at the current site since the 1960s.

The track is located at Haddon, approximately 15km west of Ballarat.

From central Ballarat, follow Latrobe St out along Carngham Rd. Turn left into Sago Hill Rd and at the Haddon roundabout take the Racecourse Rd exit. The Track is located about 300m further along.

In addition to monthly club race days, two open race meetings are held annually by the club.

These are named The Begonia City Titles and the Mort Page Memorial, in honour of the many years of service given to the club by the late Mr. Mort Page. Nowadays these events are often incorporated into rounds of the popular Victorian Country Series.

In December 2008 Ballarat Kart Club hosted the VKA Victorian Closed Kart Titles which was a very successful event.

The track is available for use by members from 9am – 6pm daily, except Tuesdays when the track is closed.
