Important notice for MG Red Tyres in TAG

We have been informed that MG Red Tyres will no longer be available to any non-AKC event until April due to limited stock.
This means the VCS TAG classes will need to use MG Yellows at round one. (And all other Victorian events) until available.

We know several of you will be upset by this change, but please be understanding that unexpected situations do occur, and please keep comments civil.

November club day at Haddon Raceway offered up some challenges for competitors with reverse track direction and changeable weather in practice putting the challenge on to learn what was a totally new track.

With the reverse direction came new set-ups, gearing and driving styles to perfect and its safe to say it was a popular day amongst the competitors.

There was great racing across all the classes and new faces both on and off the track who came to enjoy the racing. With 2 hr practice, 3x 8-lap heats and a 10-lap final it was a jam-packed day with plenty of seat-time for all and many making the effort to travel and make it worthwhile.

There were some spirited efforts and good racing, especially at the turn 1 sweeper making for some hold your breath moments.

The club would like to thank all competitors, friends and family’s for making the effort to come along, especially at the tail end of the year. The day was finished off with a BBQ and presentations to round out the day highlighting what a great family sport karting really is.

The club also awarded Harry's Junior Challenge 2018 to Taj Vandenberg, the young cadet representing the spirit of the club in memory of Jason "Harry" Harrison.

Club Member of the Year 2018 was awarded to the Mason Family, who are collectively always there to help when needed, so thanks!

Special mention goes to all volunteers, who put in countless hours in various roles to make the club tick.

Overall results November Club-Day:

1st Jordan Malcolm
2nd Scott McEachran
3rd Jason Douglas

TAG Restricted Light

Had a ball

So much fun going the other way. First corner then braking into woodshed was a thrilling combo.

Good Team work

About The Ballarat Kart Club

Ballarat Kart Club – Haddon Park Raceway

Long established Ballarat Kart Club has been racing at the current site since the 1960s.

The track is located at Haddon, approximately 15km west of Ballarat.

From central Ballarat, follow Latrobe St out along Carngham Rd. Turn left into Sago Hill Rd and at the Haddon roundabout take the Racecourse Rd exit. The Track is located about 300m further along.

In addition to monthly club race days, two open race meetings are held annually by the club.

These are named The Begonia City Titles and the Mort Page Memorial, in honour of the many years of service given to the club by the late Mr. Mort Page. Nowadays these events are often incorporated into rounds of the popular Victorian Country Series.

In December 2008 Ballarat Kart Club hosted the VKA Victorian Closed Kart Titles which was a very successful event.

The track is available for use by members from 9am – 6pm daily, except Tuesdays when the track is closed.
