Gippsland GoKart Club History:
Bairnsdale Street Circuit 1994! Who remembers racing on this circuit? Bairnsdale Kart Club

Comment on Facebook

Having said that Bairnsdale did a fabulous job of setting this meeting up every year.

I was driving a Tip Truck for the City Of Bairnsdale for most of these fantastic weekends. As soon as it finished we used to have the main drag open again for traffic in about half an hour. Fantastic event for the region pity it still wasn't happening.

Portland and Bairnsdale πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ bring it back!!! Best crowds I've ever seen, good way to promote the sport.

Loved racing there, can't remember how many years it went for ( I think 8 or 9) and I raced at all of them. When it finished we held a street meeting at Morwell around Kernot hall. Let's get behind a push and bring back street meetings. Who agrees?

Yea David was very nice track especially going the main straight the speed you kinda pick and the left turn at the end was great, because if over shot youre on hay bales or on ya head Ha!Ha! but very thrilling.I think young Daniel, Nick, Brent rose,Bryce godfrey raced there in 1999.

Yep, Raced init twice as a rookie, bloody loved it. Dad raced init quite a few times in snr national light. Also run in the city of Melbourne that was set up in the flagstaff gardens from memory.

Both Bairnsdale and Portland were unreal raced Clubman o'40's Many life long friends made and find racing memories😜

I remember racing in the "King of the Streets Series" in the early 00's. Portland, Bairnsdale and Shepparton, it was the best.

It won't happen😣 in the country. It would be different if a city club wanted it Karting Australia would bend over backwards to make it happen.

What a blast from the past and what a fantastic event. Started as the 'Fosters Street Grand Prix' in 1992. Huge crowds and all the top names in kart racing, some now V8 supercar champios. Was an easy track to drive, unless you wanted to go fast!!!. I don't think you will see these types of events again, and it was a great credit to the City of Bairnsdale and the Club for the huge effort involved

Need to bring this back

Public liability would be $$$$ nowadays I’d imagine??

Shame it stopped. It would have been better on Mcleod street. It would not have effected the highway

Jane O'Mara I remember you and racing up here😊

You nailed that one too, Bryce Godfrey. A couple of podiums 🏁

Bring it back....the town needs that atmosphere again...

Ash Mackay Ray Mackay they should let us do this on the mowers πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

How many times did Bairnsdale run, 1994 seems too early, woulda thought it was later around 99?

Graham Dowers Did Aaron and Justin race here

I never raced it but remember going and watching it as a kid it was a great event

Bring it back was awesome

Sooo needs to be brought back

Yep, I loved racing at this circuit.

Great race meeting.Would be great to bring back street meetings.

This was one of the best things I seen as a kid. It’s a shame things like this don’t still exist

Over the next few days I'll be uploading my Top Ten Pics for 2017. It took a long time to whittle them down to the ten images I like the best from the many events attended this season. So I figured I'd put some of the runner up images in a slideshow! There are plenty more that could qualify for this video, but didn't want it to go too long!

Please make sure to watch in "HD".

Is your business wanting to be part of the 2018 VCS season as a sponsor?

2017 has been a great year for the series, we've been one of the most popular series in Australia, averaging 187 entries per round over 6 rounds. (327 karters in total)

Our social media promotion has been noted by Karting Australia as being a leading example in the sport, and we promote each of our sponsors in the lead up to, and during, an event.

Sponsoring the VCS is an ideal to market your business to the karting community or to support sport in the community that your business operates in.

We are a fun series open to all levels of karters, but we've also had some pretty good drivers take part in the series, with 5 current V8 supercar drivers having raced in the VCS.

All sponsor contributions go directly to the series prize and trophy costs, which are pooled together with a portion of the entry fees to give the karter the maximum giveaway value possible for the season.

VCS is undoubtedly one of if not the best organised and best promoted State Series at the moment. The promotion on social media ticks all the boxes for frequency, interest, relevance and on-point promotion across the Series and all events.

Natasha Busbridge this series is held across the heart of the South West dairy region. I think we should have a chat about it one day.

Bendigo Kart Club

A big congratulations to Bendigo club members at the Vic State Cup who made it on the podium -Cameron Austen ,3rd Place, Beau Humphrey 3rd Place.
Well Done to all our other members who raced over the weekend and represented the club.A preview of some of the shots taken during heat 4 and the finals of the 2017 Victorian State Cup - Black Plate @ the Swan Hill Kart Club. A great event hosted by the club and run by Karting Vic! Some fantastic, close racing across the wide range of classes. Cadet 12 a standout again with great battles between 1st & 2nd and between 3rd & 4th all race long!

Please note, the order of photos seems to be in a random order as I forgot to reorder them before posting.

Wishing everyone a safe journey home!
