To X30 drivers, Clubs & Sponsors

With the situation changing rapidly with the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic & with State Government laws about closing borders and not allowing interstate competitors to compete, we have had to cancel the IAME SERIES AUSTRALIA planned this year.

As you may know, there have been cancellations or postponements of race events in Victoria which include the first 3 race events (Victorian Country Series R2, Victorian Kart Championship & Metro Series R2) & the uncertainty of when or if these race events will be run in the future, so at this time, we have sadly come to the decision to cancel the IAME Series for 2020.

However, if the currently postponed race events are re-scheduled to proceed at a later date this year, it is still a possibility the X30 Feature class may be offered but it may only be as one-off class events with no accumulation of points or prizes awarded.

REMO RACING would like to thank IAME Italy & sponsors who came onboard, Kartsport North America, Erebus Academy & RJ Garage doors.

REMO RACING & IAME Italy would like to say thankyou to the clubs from Cobden, Oakleigh, Geelong, Todd Rd & Puckapunyal for giving us the opportunity to hold these X30 events & most importantly to the X30 drivers who were very much looking forward to competing, we’ll be back.

As most of you would now know Karting Victoria have advised us after consultation with Karting Australia and all Victorian clubs that club days in March and April have been cancelled.
This does not mean that the track is closed everything remains the same ,we can all test or practice as much as we always have and would encourage you to do so.
The club has plenty of soap and hot water as well as both hand towels and our new air dryers.
Soap and hand towels will be replenished regularly and we encourage you to contact us if they are looking low.
At present we are looking at holding a number of Karting Fun days at our track as well as working with industry suppliers to hold a number of come and try days.
As you can appreciate this is an ever changing landscape and we will keep you up to date should anything change.
In closing let me commend both Karting Victoria and Karting Australia on making some really tough decisions over the last seven days.
All decisions have been made with constant consultation with effected clubs as well as the health and wellbeing of the Karting Family the number one priority
Please keep an eye on both Facebook and Team App for any further developments or events at our track.
Members of the committee will be at the track this weekend and we would love to see you there with your kart having some fun.

Hi. RKC has a bunch of new karters waiting for a drive. Let’s set a date and have some fun.

Devastating! Hmmmm Now what do we do with our lives?! And all the spare money 💰 ! 😉

Well. Shit.

CLUBDAY CANCELLED. please read the update below.Important Update: VCS Postponed, Victorian Clubdays Cancelled
Karting Victoria Karting Australia South West Kart Club

We apologise that it has taken so long to announce, but we can confirm that VCS Round 2 will be postponed indefinitely due to Covid-19.

We can advise that all Victorian Club Days this weekend will also be cancelled.(More information to follow)

This is an ever changing situation and we are going to exercise every bit of additional caution possible.

Even if an event was below the 500 limit:
- Our officials are in the 50-80 high risk group, and we cannot put them at any additional risk.
- There is a social aspect of the VCS - people eat out together and camp together- its not just on track activity
- VCS draws competitors from across the state and interstate which is more risk of spreading infection
- Competitors are likely to pull out with the crisis unfolding - meaning the event could be cancelled on low numbers later on.
- With the current supermarket panic it could make it very difficult to have competitors arriving in a small town and needing supplies

All pre-entries for Cobden will be refunded in due course.

Madi, you’re just not meant to race your new kart 😢

We’re getting quite a few questions about this upcoming weekend. Luckily, we have only been postponed and not cancelled.Due to the significant number of entries for Round Two of the 2020 SP Tools Australian Kart Championship presented by Castrol EDGE, Karting Australia advises members of the postponement of the event to September 18-20.

About The Eastern Lions Kart Club

Who is the Eastern Lions Kart Club?

The Eastern Lions Kart Club was established in 1961 located at a Track at Humevale near Whittlesea. The membership consists of approximately 160 Karters and their families and is drawn from predominantly the North Eastern and Northern Suburbs of Melbourne as well as a growing regional membership. It is an incorporated club with a committee drawn from volunteer members within the club.

Why Puckapunyal?

The previous site at Whittlesea had been outgrown in terms of both Track and Surroundings. The need to move to a bigger location and longer track became apparent as long ago as 1989 and since then a number of sites have been looked at and evaluated. The opportunity to purchase 72 acres of land at Puckapunyal was ideal. The size of the land, Zoning, Proximity to facilities in Seymour and it’s geographic location in Victoria all combine to make the location an excellent venue for a Kart track. Being located only eight kilometres from Seymour, accommodation will not be a problem. Karters can travel to Kilmore, Nagambie or Broadford as alternatives. The local communities benefit from the facility. Fuel supplies are also available close by.

Who are some of the past members?

Eastern Lions Kart club is currently represented in International Motor Sport with Craig Lowndes, Jamie Whincup, Cameron McConville Steven Richards and Will and Alex Davison.
