In light of the announcement made this afternoon by the government we will unfortunately have to cancel this weekend's club day as well as the scheduled practice sessions and driver training sessions with Dave Sera.

We have decided to cancel tomorrow's sessions as well, while disappointing we believe it's the responsible thing to do. The sooner we all lockdown the sooner we can get back out again.

We will offer the driver training sessions again next school holiday's if the government rules at that time allow it, anyone with a current booking will be given first option to book the rescheduled sessions.

We will process refunds for both club day and driver training sessions over the next few days.

We’ll see everyone at a race track as soon as we can. Thanks for everyone’s understanding

Just spent the afternoon getting the kart ready..😢😢

Best club day field of Cadet 9’s in 3 years...gone in a flash. See ya as soon as we can get back to it. 😫😢

But we understand we have to do what is safe so we can get to the other side

awww my kids gonna be devastated

Very sad but understand. 👍

Bugger 🤷‍♂️

Til next time my dudes! Will be watching out for when the racing comes back. June club day was a blast.

It’s a shame but I think you guys have made the right decision, thanks for all the great work the club is doing during this tuff time

Is the Thursday session going ahead or cancelled coz of lockdown. If cancelled can my son be rescheduled and book in for Wednesday instead please. He really wants to have lessons. Thanks

Sorry guys. It’s unfortunate that we have had to postpone the training event! But rest assured these will become available again as soon as we can get back on the race track

Yes please can I have this spot. Can someone please msg me.

If another one is available please let me know.

Due to popular demand we've swapped TaG 125 Light with X30 Light for Sunday's club day so if you're keen to bolt on some MG Yellows and have a run then get your entry in now. ... See MoreSee Less

While there are no open meets happening we've been given the opportunity to run club days on different weekends so that people can race more than once a month.

We have decided to run our July club day next Sunday the 12th of July and the day will be open to anyone with a Victorian licence.
With the way the weekends fall this month it is a quick turnaround from the June club day but we think this is a great way to help the clubs out, see some good fields and get everyone out there doing what we all love - racing.

We'd love to see our members go and support other clubs running their club days on a different weekend especially if you've never raced away from Oakleigh.

The current COVID rules are obviously still in place, there will be a maximum of 20 karts per class, one parent/guardian/pit crew per kart and no spectators.

Entries should open shortly but we'll let you know when they do.

This is awesome but remember, We want every member to make sure they support our great club. Dont go and race at another club and neglect your own. By all means get out there and race at other clubs on the weekends oakleigh are not racing but when We have an event, Be there to support your club, the businesses that support the club and the committee who are tireless in making sure we can all race. If you are a member. BE A MEMBER! Looking forward to some amazing club days with big numbers and as usual we will welcome everyone

Good on all for doing this as we NEED Karting to come back we NEED racing, we NEED to support our clubs, kart shops and engine builders 🙏

Brett Young you better get that new kart together!!

Rafe, will there be a matching TryBooking event as well as the CMS one ?

Bookings are now open for practice this Saturday, morning session 8-12 and afternoon 12.30-4.30. Bookings will close at 5pm Friday and COVID forms must be received by 6pm Friday.

Bookings at www.trybooking.com/BJVTR
Covid form at kartingaustralia.wufoo.com/forms/covid19-declaration-oakleigh/

Please make sure you correctly book and fill out all the required paperwork on time, we've been having to chase people up constantly and it's just not fair for the volunteers already giving up their weekends to also have to give up their weeknights chasing paperwork.

If you're unsure about any of the requirements please get in touch with us ASAP and we'll help you out.

About The Oakleigh Go Kart Racing Club

Oakleigh kart track is situated only 25 Km from the Melbourne CBD, on the South Eastern side of the city. The club has been established for over 25 years and in that time many changes to the facility have taken place.

The club now has a circuit over 900 meters in length as well as modern up to date facilities with licenced clubrooms and seating for up to 120, as well as a fully equipped kitchen to cater for members and their guests at club events.

Combine this with other features such as track lighting for night events, 3 story starters control tower and a 2 story race control then add to this a circuit design that is both demanding on drivers skills and set-up. Oakleigh is hard circuit to master but once mastered allows the driver to gain the level of experience required for most other tracks. And judging by the number of National and State Champions that have gained their skills at Oakleigh you can see that if you master our track, you can win anywhere.

The Club is permanently expanding and has just purchased 8 Hectares of land. This will enable the club to relocate the exciting pit and car parking areas. The club is also looking at some form of undercover pitting facility for all competitors, as well as investigating the possibility of covering the Grid area. the remainder of the land will at a later stage be used for other kart related activities.

Licensed membership levels at the club have stayed relatively stable over recent years, with a peak of just over 700 in the early 90’s to a level of just over the 600 mark for the last 6 years.

At Oakleigh our membership numbers are based on licence holders , not the total number of members, which is considerably higher. Racing at the club consists of 10 Club Race days – Held on the last Sunday of every month- and 3 to 4 Open Race Meetings throughout the Year. Club Day’s attract about 200 entries with most classes being catered for.

Practice at the Club is restricted to club members only, they are issued with a key to allow them access into the track for practice any day of the week. the track is made available for Non Oakleigh members leading up to Open Race Meetings.

Thank you for taking the time to read this brief insight into the Oakleigh Go Kart racing Club Inc. For more information on the club please feel free to contact us on the numbers in the contacts section,

Yours in Karting
